With Mike home this week, my "holiday making stuff list" is put aside for "entertain Daddy" trips and activities...we had such a full-on day yesterday.
First we picked up Lachie's Junior Magpie book we had made (HarveyNormanOnline wasn't as easy as Snapfish, but their sale was great!), then we dropped him off at 2Dine4 for his first Italian cooking class where he made ravioli, spaghetti and special sauce. He had the BEST time! When I picked him up the lady told me that they'd all decided he was going to be a Masterchef...I told her that HE decided that years ago! She's apparently coming for dinner when he's famous ☺ While he was there Mike took Lily, Eden and Cooper to see the Funky Monkeys again (I managed to watch/dance through half the show before going to pick Lachie up) - they loved them and as we have the Camping Adventures cd (and they saw them in Palmy) the girls could sing all the songs!
After that it was lunchtime so we headed to the park in Napier for yummy lemon tart with Danish ice-cream from the shop there. Followed by a long hot play (and chats with everyone by the friendly girls!) til 2pm when we went to McLean Park to watch the Magpies train and join in with a few games. A wander round Mitre 10 Mega (more fruit trees and a couple of sneaky birthday presents) and we headed home via nannie and Grand-da's who had also 'ordered' a Junior Magpie book and got to taste/smell the fabulous cooking!
