Hurricanes * * * Hurricanes

The other exciting thing before getting to the rugby was the train ride, Upper Hutt into Wellington. Lots of those yellow t-shirts around!
Lachie also wants one of these "road signs" to go with his collection!
Tattoos of Jerry (still Lachie's favourite)
Of course, Eden loved all the noise, and there were a few cow bells around too
Mike tearing around with Lily after the game (was it the win or the Coke?)
Down the ramp back to the train
And I did most of the driving home, with this really cool moon - pink as we came over the Rimutaka's
Home about 3.30am, Mike went to work at 4.30 - but well worth the lack of sleep - although, while all the kids are asleep now, maybe I'll get a few winks in before Mike gets home since it's too wet to do washing!

Helicopter Fire Fighters

Although it's a terrible thing, possible arson in the bush behind a school, the kids found the helicopters fascinating and really exciting (especially after Jason arrived home with his fireman boots on!)

Hello Isabella

Heading to Wellington to watch the Hurricanes play the Chiefs, then Mike found out he was working Saturday...still, can't disappoint the team by not going!
And another really good excuse was to see little Isabella (and Jess and Jason too!). She's so cute, perfectly behaved (in front of visitors) and great for cuddles (and little pats from Eden).

Spuds, Spuds, Spuds...

Next lot of potatoes is ready...this time "Desiree", still spray free and we have around 11 tonne to shift - so we tried the Palmy Saturday market again.
Here's how Lachie and Lily kept themselves occupied...

And Eden tried to help too. Luckily this market finished at 10 (although we didn't come close to selling out this time round!)
These potatoes are $6 for 5kg or $10 for 10kg. More than other places, but these are totally spray-free, really tasty AND a fundraiser!

And the firewood's still available, $150 cord delivered locally - dry for this winter.

Lily's Such a Girly Girl

Enjoying a fairy fluffy in her favourite morning/afternoon tea/playing spot - our bed!
Daddy joining Lily for biscuits (he didn't eat his yesterday!)
Attack of the lippy!
Then showing a few of the moves she learnt at dancing class yesterday
Anything you can do Eden can copy! (And I mean ANYTHING!)
Then a big cheesy grin before going to school to meet Lachie off the bus after his first school trip (to the rocky shore, Ahuriri, Napier)

Sick Daddy

Mike had some unidentified stomachy thing - sick at work, then at home, resulting in over 17 hours sleep! Lily wanted to make heart biscuits to "fix" him...
She put it by his bed for when (if!) he woke up, before she went to bed (notice her teaset beside him...this is usually where Lily chooses to play!)

Mayoral Bike Challenge

Basically biking with the Mayor to beat Napier and Hastings districts - not sure of the reason...but a chance to dress up (anything beginning with "P"), catch up with friends, and win prizes...

"primate"

"piggy"

"pretend princess" and in backback "proper princess"
Lily won the girls prize for best dressed

Then a swim followed by Lachie's homework (or housework as he calls it - maybe I should let him try both to see the difference!)

And CONGRATS to Jessica and Jason - can't wait to meet Isabella in a couple of weeks!!!
