Day at the Beach

We had a great day at the beach last weekend, but I was silly enough to leave the camera at home (not like me, I know!)...I did remember it today though!Perfect at low tide Our little fish!
While Lily practiced for her dance recital Lachie got the girls to help him with his race track Jumping...
Jumping... Hopping...Sand gets EVERYWHERE!Lachie was talking about sand angels just this morning
Eden found a place to crash for a whileBut what happens if you lie down in the sand for too long???

P.S. Can you believe this is post #400! After just over 2 years...

The Everton Party

Dad didn't want a party, but when I told him that if the kids came to visit for his birthday, then there would have to be a party - he kinda had no choice then!
Wearing all our new Everton gear, and facepainting to match (all designed their own)
(Eden's in the middle of a blink here!)
Lachie had free reign over Mike's face, soccer ball on one side, yellow smiley face on the other
Joint effort with the cake - Mum made it, I decorated it... Playing pass the parcel (with 7 parcels!)
You HAVE to play football at an Everton party, even if it is really really hot!
Eden's so good at sharing
Happy Birthday Grand-da!
(I don't think we're allowed to talk about next year...shhhhhh)

Seeing Santa

The first Christmas do of 2008 - the Chartered Accountants Christmas party at Clive...
Santa arrived in a gold Porsche

Lachie was the only one that wanted a photo with him

The clowns, Mertus and Strawberry (aged 10) were a bit funny, but they did have a trained pet pig

Posy shot for the grandparents...

So now, how many more to go???

Tea Cakes

Thanks Grand-da for the start of the pressies and especially the tea cakes! Eden finished hers in the bath! A pesky fly landed on her forehead, that explains that part of the mess! Luckily the rest will be eaten at Nannie and Grand-das (over the next 6 months!)

Bush Princess and Fairy

We went on a bush walk at Lindsay Bush this morning with kindy - the kids dressed up and after the walk we listened to a great local storyteller.
Lily's finds...
Eden looking like she wants to go to sleep
Nearly at the end now! Pom poms with the story teller
Everyone had to have pom poms!

We took Nannie to the Waipuk show because Daddy was working.
Kids on the bouncy castle...
Eden's first ride on the merry-go-round...

Of course Lily picked a horse! And of course Lachie picked a racecar!

Bull Riding

Had fun at the bull riding with friends and fish and chips (Mike's birthday was the excuse!).
Santa did a few laps on his horse with lollies...

And Lachie afterwards asked "Paddy" why he was so crazy - got an autographed poster out of it, but no answer!

So guess who wants to have a go riding sheep now?!?

What Can We Expect?

A conversation Lachie and Lily were having this morning…
Lily: “Hey man, when I’m ready to go to the party, can you come and get me and take me on your motorbike?” (what are we in for!?!?)
Lachie’s reply: “Well yes, but you could drive”
Lily: “But I don’t know how” (phew!)
Lachie: “You just…(instructions here to drive the stick they’re using as a motorbike today)…and you drive really really slowly…” (double phew!)

Spider Lachie

Today Lachie chose to be Spiderman, both the "good" one AND the "bad" one - lucky I'm pretty obliging!

That's a Spiderman pose, if you didn't know! And the reliver today also came dressed as Spiderman - bet all the kids listened to her today!

And the birthday boy got pretty spoilt too - all the stuff WE need to go camping for Christmas...

What he wanted to wear today...

What he HAD to wear today! No, not in prison, it's their new work uniform!
