Levi's Party

We had a wonderful time at Levi's 1st Birthday party, even the weather wasn't too bad in Dannevirke!
Brendan and Deanna put on the best kids parties...especially the games to go with the theme, here's leapfrog...(after the choc frog hunt) Pass the parcel... The frog piniata...
Lily showing her lolly collection (2)...
Lachie with his (then we put them on the table to share!)...
Eden tried to join in...
Cake time...yes, a frog!
The kids loved the party food...
Eden showing off...
Lachie's a show-off too...
Eden found the paper from the pass the parcel...
And the shed was full of balloons and streamers, Eden loved that too (going to copy that for her party!)
Happy Birthday Levi!

More Daffodils

Eden had a pretty tough appointment today and an even tougher x-ray so we went out to pick daffodils before lunch for a break...here's a few cheeky photos from this morning...
All asleep now...maybe I'll get the rest of the windows washed...
So, who's going to be the 1000th viewer??? (I only added the counter mid July!)

Another Haircut

This time was Honey's turn for a haircut - or day at the spa as we like to call it! She loves going to the vet - what's that about?!
Here's before...
And after! Same dog???? No wonder she's looking a bit cold!

Aquarium...again

Lily's getting better - locum GP said it's no biggie, but he hasn't been up since last Wednesday! Still, after staying inside this week because the weather hasn't been wonderful , today we decided to go to Napier to visit the Aquarium...again.

Lachie took this one of Eden, Lily and I, he was surprised I let him after he broke my camera last week! (Time for a new one anyway!)

You can't see the electric ray here...just electric Lachie! He ran round this time, looking for his "friends" - I did manage to slow him down at times to discover things we didn't see the last few times.
I love this giant turtle...so did Eden!
Lily and I both want seahorses too!
Heaps more people than last time we went, I suppose you get that in the holidays...then the moving walkway stopped...we had to walk, that was after the kids had a few times round lying on their backs!

Daisy Chain

Lily's pretty sick, but still enjoyed some fresh air after lunch...and discovered daisy chains!
Sorry if this blog hasn't been displaying properly, only works for me when I log in...they're looking into it...

Come On the Bay!

Lily's first rugby game...she's been so excited, even refusing to go to bed one night because we hadn't been to the rugby! (had to explain that it wasn't on for a few weeks!)
Here they are entertaining passers by before we headed in... Eden's in black and white too! Lily loved watching the cheerleaders...
Lachie didn't ask as many questions, I think after all the rugby we've been watching (though not exceeding 2 hours TV a day, but before the World Cup was less than one though!), he's figured out most of the rules - one thing he didn't understand was a penalty given near the try line, resulting in cheers but isn't a try...
And a fair amount of Mooloo supporters, including Rhian, Steve and Mark...didn't help them much, neither did the dodgy biased ref! A good win for the Magpies and best news, a home quarter-final!Eden loved it too! She could actually hear all the cow bells and the hooter, the stomping and the singing. She missed a sleep, but she didn't care one bit!
Might even make it to Palmy on our way back from Wellington next week to show some black and white support...
Ended the night at a pub, with enough grandparents, aunties, uncles and friends to entertain the kids til well past bedtime! (Considering bedtime was kick off!)

Black Out Day 5

Last day of term too. Lachie's looking forward to going back to kindy already, but we have a few plans for the holidays...He came home with a number 5 on the back of his t-shirt, they made a team - Lachie was Ali Williams, but he's been insisting this afternoon that his name is now Jerry Collins, and sometimes Dan Carter...we'll just keep calling him Lachie til he makes up his mind!

Black Out Day 4

Bit colder today, but Lachie's theory is why put a jersey on if you're going to take it off again later...boys!
Still wearing black, and a World Cup hat and All Black socks...
For news today and yesterday Lachie showed the photos and autographed rugby ball he got during the 2005 All Black trials in Napier (those names we didn't know then that are now household names - Sione, Mils, Rodney, Clark...) and Uncle Nath's rugby medals (from the 90's) including 15 great All Black captains - one of their wives works at Kindy

Black Out Day 3

Everyone got in on it today...
Can you see what Daddy did to Lachie's head? Lachie asked for it, said it was Monica's idea (she said it wasn't!)

Black Out Day 2

For "news" today Lachie took a photo of himself at 9 months old with his first rugby jersey on holding his first rugby ball.
