Here's the rainbow we saw heading out to Onga this morning...it was heaps brighter than it looks, and almost as pretty as the one on the way home.

Shaggy Cheeky Honey

Honey found a new place to sit on the way back from school...the girls thought it was funny!

Then we took her to the "day spa" so she's not as shaggy now, and gets a lot more time in front of the fire!

(P.S. not good photos as I took them while driving, but pretty good if you realise I wasn't even looking!)

Then the Heaven's Opened

Lightning and thunder this afternoon so the girls had an exciting time watching the rain out the window. (There is a good reason for the hats...watch this space next Monday!)
5 minutes worth...
Then it got almost sunny, so gummies on for jumping in the puddles!
And jumping on the wet tramp (just don't tell Nannie! - that's how I broke my arm, way back)

Funny Story...

Lily's been unwell with one of her uncontrolable fevers over the weekend...still, dosed up on medicine, here's the conversation we had yesterday morning (I had to write it down so I remembered it word for word!)
"Lily, how are you feeling?"
"Well, I'm not feeling drinky, and I'm not feeling hungry, I'm feeling like get stuffed."
"Pardon!? How do you feel?"
"Like getting stuff out"
(This is as I was emptying the dishwasher - she only wanted to help!)
Looking a bit better today, looking after her doll who's now not feeling well.
Luckily I'm not looking after all her unwell dolls and teddies; and Lachie's not too bad right now - several ear infections and over a month of antibiotics (so far), and Mike's trying hard to pretend he's fine too (work's dealing with him today!).
Eden's loving her "big girls" bed, like Lily - on Friday afternoons try-to-sleep, I found them in each others beds - not asleep obviously, just talking! I suppose they've got years of that ahead of them. They talk themselves and each other to sleep every night! Next ear check-up for her this week (think it'll be all good). And a night-out for me tomorrow!

Next Cake...

A girly 21st cake for one of the kindy teacher's daughters...all edible (except for the ribbons) and sparkly (I love sparkly things if you hadn't noticed!)

And guess which is Eden's favourite part!

A couple of hopefuls...

Run, Run As Fast As You Can

Lachie did a literacy unit on the Gingerbread Man, so we followed up with a 4pm dinner and making for dessert!

And here's Lachie, ready for news next day! It was his idea to do feet - using poppy seeds like the hair, he's VERY proud of the feet!

Boa Girl

I was getting some clean clothes for Eden (more outside muddy play this morning!) but came back to her doing this...

Lachie's Great Idea

But all I can say is...at least I have a clothes line again! (It got taken down at Easter!) And if we all have a power shortage this winter, it's because we've been using the dryer a lot - sorry!

And I told Lachie NOT to do this without an adult watching (so we can call an ambulance if he breaks something...he thinks I was joking!)

Next step: move more dirt so I can hang jeans and Mike's t's on the line...anybody need any topsoil???

Nuts

While Mike's on nights, dinner's quite casual...here's Lily during dessert after my flyaway comment to Lachie about his hearing (or lack of it) - listen carefully to what she says at the end...

And Eden's a great conversationalist. While she wasn't hearing we had around 20 signs that we could both communicate with - all her needs were met - trying that on Lachie at the moment would be interesting...but he wants to tell us soooo many more words than Eden!

Here's a conversation that Eden and I had the other day while we walked to kindy (she was in the backpack and Lily was on her bike).

"Mummy, get down?"

"No, sorry sweetie, you'll have to stay there til we get to kindy."

"Why?"

(Anything I could say here got the same response)

"Why?"

!!!And she's only 19 months!!!

And her new favourite phrase - "What a mess" - must have come after this incident over the weekend, it's pretty muddy here and we'd all been outside, didn't realise Eden had gone inside to wash her own hands!

Kindy Walk-a-thon

Lily Fairy doing the 2008 Kindy Walk-a-thon.
Is this practise for Sydney? Or is the "training" we've been doing for Sydney practise for the walk-a-thon???

Queen's Birthday

Lachie finishing off the last of his 3 weeks of antibiotics Heading out for a walk, and an Ezyroll. Eden loved "helping" Lachie, and when he went too fast she just ran trying to catch up
Except when the boat just off shore was turning round
Bye
At least she got a turn. Lily just chilled out while all this was going on! Then a posy photo
Lachie loved rolling down this hill, pulling the Ezyroller back up several times
Weeeeeee
Eden, hands on hips, watching the water wheel
Jungle posy photo
Few posers...
Eden singing her favourite song - can you guess??? Then to see the ducks, and Eden's new favourite, the swans
Lily's telling this swan a story...
So it showed it's applause! Lily looks a bit freaked, but laughed so loud after!
The swans were taller than Eden, didn't bother her though! Mike tried to be daring, chickened out though!
