Lachie's Favourite Day

Warning...LOTS of photos on this post!!
If you haven't heard already, Lachie got to be the junior Magpie of the day yesterday and run the match ball onto the field at the start of the game. He sat with the reserve players on the bench throughout the game too, got himself on Sky coverage, and had a truly truly memorable day.
With Peter who took care of him and made sure he was being looked after (as well as his chaperon!)
He's been given the match ball and is waiting til the players are ready
Almost time...
Sideline waiting...
GO! As the loudspeaker calls out his name...the very beginning of Sky's coverage is his name...
Right on the spotWaving to Mummy, Cooper, Lily, Eden and Aunty Cathie
Waving to Nannie and Grand-da (and the Smiths!)
Sitting on the bench...Lachie particulary liked Israel Dagg who's resting from the All Blacks and was very chatty to him
The ONLY photo Mike took! (He also videoed half of the run too)
After the game and chatting with the players...Cooper insisted holding both the girls' hands
After hanging out in the changing rooms after the game (and sharing their feast!), going to catch the last few players still chatting to fans, to sign his canvas
Zac was last...Lachie painted up a canvas to get the players signatures on. Beats a piece of paper, or another ball...
He got a great big goodie bag full of things, and there's his canvas for his bedroom wall (when I replace that piece of paper with a photo!)
Cooper had his first lollipop! He was given his first kids bag like Lily and Eden, so got to taste all the treats (he doesn't like salt and vinegar chippies!)
Ticklish
One tired boy (and two tired girls, and a buzzing, too tired to sleep big boy too!)
Watched the replay today and took some photos of the screen for the photobook Lachie and I spent the day making.
Izzy had to tell Lachie to smile becasue Lachie didn't know that was the camera right there!

We read an article about the other boy in the paper just before the gameHika (great try, but what was that afterwards???) asked him lots of questions too
That's me and Lily (not our usual seats) before the game started...during the game I was quite distracted taking photos of Lachie and reading/replying to texts! Plus Lily wrote a big list in her diary noting every score change and who and why to show the players at the end...they just grabbed a pen and signed her book though ☺ and she also spent a lot of time telling that guy there in front of me with the yellow and black jersey that he was losing (his daughter was really cute)
My girls (sitting on fence with black and white legs) hi-5ing the players (Aunty Jayne, it's Cathie with the bucket hat on, not Nannie!)
Such a cute moment...MJ/Michael Johnson with Eden

Swimming

Daddy came to watch Cooper's swimming lesson...and actually took some photos! Didn't hang around long enough to learn (again!) how to download them onto the computer though
Enjoy the very rare Mummy shots...

Wacky - that's an understatement!

Wacky hair and dress-up day at school (and Eden didn't want to miss out on the fun at kindy either!)
This photo has made everyone giggle each time they see it! I had the camera taking two consecutive shots, and after the first shot Cooper came tearing over to have a look (like all kids want to do with digitals!) and the second shot caught this! Enjoy having a giggle at Cooper's expense (he has been too!)
And I'm SURE you want to know what Lily looked like when the plaits came out...MAJOR AFRO - she loved it and bounced round and round "floating" she said!

Morning at the beach

...even though it was cold and windy and rained later on...fun morning at the beach! The beach at Music that is! Eden picked her outfit last week and has been hanging out to wear her togs to music! Cooper thought I was nuts this morning putting his togs over his thermals - we had lots of giggles! (Sorry, he feel asleep on the way there and I'd put the camera away by the time he woke up). SO hope there's no photos of me out there...wearing Mike's ugliest Hawaiian shirt (and why didn't the other Mum's dress up???)
Eden's face paint (designed by her!) is the sparkly pink dolphin from Barbie in a Mermaid Tale
And it's so sad that Sarah-Jane is leaving...but any excuse to make a cake! She's such a sunny person, definitely the rainbow after the rain...the "tag" says 'love from the Mainly Music team'. ♥ You'll really be missed SJ ♥
We went swimming after music (had to, kids were wearing togs!) with Kelly, Georgie and Molly...telepathic!!!

HB vs Windy Wellington

Had a mixed trip to Wellington. Left a reasonable day after hearing about what was happening in Waikato and down South. Got to Palmy (eventually) over the Pahiatua Track where we went swimming. It was great fun and the kids were then tired enough to sleep all the way to Wellington. A quick shopping trip to North City in Porirua where I knew we could get Lachie something cool to wear on Thursday (watch this space!!!), then arrived at the caketin to beautiful blue skies and a "fresh breeze" (I remember the Welly lingo!)
We arrived quite early (and wondered if the stands would fill up much more...they did!)
Spotted some people who managed to get themselved an invite to the Deloitte Lounge (but chose to sit with us though)
After a bit of banter with the WRFU oldies (one of whom was hassling Dannevirke High School, Mike stood up for his old school!)
Went to see Toby, Aunty Jayne and Uncle Sam; and that's Mike, Kate and Sophie in the background (who "shared" passes and Sophie enjoyed the warmth of the Deloitte Lounge!)
Game started great, and we sat on the edge of our seats til the last whistle - yelling at the ref to keep warm! It was a freezing wind (although admittedly I didn't put my jacket over my rugby shirt (over 3 thermals!) til right at the end - very brave HB people in front wearing singlets most of the game - obviously form tropical Hawkes Bay!
Well done boys...almost a win again! And Lachie's "BIG GAME" next weekend, running the ball onto the field against Taranaki; then off the Auckland in the school holidays - Eden's looking forward to going to "her park" (Eden Park)

I have the Best parents!

They just turned up and wanted to mow our lawns (ALL of them at the SAME time...Mike hasn't done back and front on the same day since I can remember!! - and I'm not too flash at doing the back!)
This tooth's been the wiggliest for aaaaaages...may not have been quite ready to come out, but it was close...and Lachie INSISTED I pull it out! Only took 4 goes! Back to eating normally for a while (as the other one's started wiggling too now!)
The tooth fairy came and left $2 and her necklase appears to have broken too as there were "fairy jewels" dropped all over the house, well by everyone's beds as she checked everyone else's teeth! and by the window in the girls' room where she either came in or went out (jury's out on that one, but it's agreed that she's magic as we didn't leave any windows open!)
