Happy 6th Birthday Eden!

Eden's been waiting so long for her birthday to come!

All ready for her disco party now!

She was also pretty happy to spend her birthday at the Ngati Whai festival

Lachie made his rockstar stage debut!

And Cooper perfected his pukana!

Before you ask, yes, he does dress like that (his ties in my bag!) anytime he can!

After cheerleading, Eden chose Subway for dinner (yay, less work for me!) followed (not preceded this year!) by the heart shaped pavlova Cooper and I made this morning (didn't get off cooking completely!)
Cheers!

Decorating her pavlova on her own..cream, kiwifruit, strawberries, blueberries and chocolate peanuts

Beautiful smile :)

And then, she designed her cake for her party!

My Beautiful Godson

Bit of an early start, but we made it to windy Wellington by 9 (we were there at 8, should have slept in!). As I had an important "job", the kids had the job of photographing!

Lucky boy getting TWO Godmothers!!

Dominic's gown is over 100 years old, made by Ron's grandmother I think

My offerings...cake (obviously!) and pillowcase..."Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven" James 11:7

Top layer, four tier ombre yellows, bottom fruit cake.

And Dominic was full of smiles and giggles and has long cute conversations

Wonderful day :)

Auckland

Stayed at a great little bach in Piha...crazy busy city by day, peaceful relaxing beach sounds by night. Except NO tv or Internet (for mummy!)

Lily by Lily Lake

On the way to the city...Lachie learned how to change a tyre! Well it took the DriveRight people 20 minutes to send someone! He just checked we'd done it right and took us back to his workshop to repair the hole

At the zoo we got up close to Burma the elephant. Many many photos and memories, just sharing a couple today!

These four look like THEY'RE in the enclosure...would make for a pretty entertaining display anyway!

Up the Sky Tower after 5pm (easy parking in the CBD!) 186m high here! Then we went up to 220m!

Cooper was upset that I wouldn't let him bungy jump off..

...especially after the others did it! Hehe. They enjoyed pushing Lachie off too!

Off to Butterfly Creek for plenty of butterfly encounters

And patting and tickling the baby crocs (about 18 months old), keeper gave a good (first-hand????) explanation on what would happen if your finger got too close to his mouth!

More beach fun, even though it was windy and overcast (true four-seasons-in-one-day weather!)

Sunday was the Auckland Caledonian Dancing Society Highland Competition...check out Lily's competition!! (She's on the left). She got two seconds, two fourths and her most proud moment, third trophy fling

Eden got four seconds..and a goody bag!

This competition also had a Celtic-type choreography competition. Here's Suzanne's girls...

And they came second overall.

Love Cooper's new t-shirt (he doesn't like new clothes, but I managed to buy him four t-shirts, some shorts and [his fourth pair, ahem] of skinny jeans - and he's happy to wear them, bonus!)

Medal/trophy haul...

After the competition, the girls were all invited to dance in the Caledonian Society concert. Lily and Eden were the only little girls, but any chance to perform on a huge stage! And obligatory photo on the way back to the bach

At Kelly Tarltons, Lily became a "penguin trainer". Cooper was upset that he didn't see Kelly...and Georgie, Molly and Cohan!

So much to see, amazing to see how much has changed in three years since we last went too.

Obviously there's hundreds more photos! Had an awesome week, followed by a pretty uneventful drive home yesterday, despite Lachie picking up the Rez's tummy bug!!!
When can we go back????

Saturday Rugby

Very muddy fields this week!
Lily's pretty sick UTIs are back :(
Eden having a good run despite the slippery mud!

Any skin left clean???

Lily gave Cooper a smile anyway

Lachie's team enjoyed the mud too!

Almost as much as Cooper!

Beautiful day :)

And Eden scrubbed up ok to go to Jessica's party! (bouncy castle, hence the lack of pretty frilly dress!)
