Lachie's Creation

Lachie and I invented and built something to help Daddy out...
Nearly finished...
Yay! Now maybe the recycling will go out every week! Probably because Lachie's now the "recycling king" - he does it all now!

Went searching...

...for some hungry ducks! Mike took us on a " shopping adventure" after a hard-out morning in the garden!

No ducks were hungry in Palmy, just a few little cuties doing their poses...
And they also enjoyed the run around...
And a dog that really wanted to play with the ducks! Found some on the way home though...and a perfect time for a dinner stop!

No wonder I keep getting asked if they're twins!

Lachie the Monkey

Lachie's new trick (not the dancing, he's been doing that forever!)

Lachie can do five and a half...how many can you do?!?!

Adelie's Wedding

Congrats to Adelie and Alfonz and Heike - it was so cute, Heike was given a "wedding ring" as well, and he carried (then destroyed as boys do) a bunch of red roses!.
Here's Lily doing her "sun smile" - she invented it at breakfast this morning.Heike, Alfonz and Adelie... The girls after the ceremony (just before Eden went to bed, desperately late!)
Lily hasn't named this smile yet...

Concrete handprints

A bit of fun for the kids - as Lachie said this morning, "concreting's not fun if you're just watching!" - said just after the truck left!

Power Cut

We had a power cut for a while...Lachie liked walking round the house with the candles!

This Little Piggy & Incy Wincy Spider

Dress-up day at Music for the end of term - theme: Nursery Rhymes.
Here's This Little Piggy (probably going wee wee wee wee all the way home, judging by how she's been feeling last few weeks!)And rowing the boat with Daddy...(who wouldn't dress up!) And Lily's been looking forward to being Incy Wincy almost all term!
Doing a spider walk...
And up the front with Lenda (teddy) doing her signature dance with us all joining in...
And that means it's nearly the school/kindy holidays - I can't wait! Didn't count last holidays as we had three days of cleaning, packing and tree planting before heading to Sydney, which wasn't exactly a relaxing holiday!

Sorry...

...to the aunties, uncles and cousins (especially Xavier!) that couldn't make it down for the Magpies vs Mooloos game - or was it that you didn't want to be part of the third loss in a row to HB in Napier??
Here are the kids before we left...
Actually chose her own facepaint!
Lachie with his new trackies from Nannie (his present while in hospital!)
Hope you can see his face paint!
Lily making a fashion statement in spots for a change... All ready to go...
As we drove into Napier, Lily started asking if she could "go crazy" yet...she did as soon as we got out of the car!
She's actually looking at a group of 8-9 year old boys behind us - her "audience"
And catching up with Nannie and Grand-da (and Grand-da's new jacket - minus the beak and eyes!) and Eddie and Gill after the game...just beofre heading out for ice cream sundaes to celebrate the win.

Art Auction

I bought another great piece of art at the kindy art auction (still enjoying the Jules Clarke painting I bought earlier in the year!). This time it was a Lily Simmons original - called something like "Going to the forest for a teddy bears picnic"

Thankfully it didn't cost me as much as the last auction...this was a bargain at $20!

I believe she's taking orders at the moment...

Lachie's Turn

Today was Lachie's turn to get grommets...here's a very anxious Lachie in the gorgeous gown before going to theatre... And a super brave and a bit sore Lachie afterwards.
Now he's supposed to be taking it easy - but do you think I can get him to do that? NO!

Coolest Tree...and Kids Too!

Found this cool tree - definitely needed photos with kids up in it! I love how they're such posers!
Some great action shots of Lachie! And a couple of princesses...
And we finished off with a "bear hunt"
And...if you have nothing to do on Friday night, kindy's having an Art Auction, check out some of the items on: www.hunterparkkindergarten.blogspot.com
Also, great photo of the teachers and article about kindy in the CHB Mail this morning!

Lily Ballerina

You just can't argue with a three and a half year old that knows what she wants to wear...and since there's been no dancing this term, it's usually dancing clothes! This is before Music...
