Latest Projects

Here's a few pix of our latest projects.

Lachie's room has been fun! Still a work in progress while "we" decide on curtains and a few other surprises to do while I'm bored (when Lachie and Lily are at kindy and Eden's having one of her all-morning sleeps). There's a countdown to the left and more stars to the right...the mini disco balls are the "planets" and send little light flickers around the room (like real stars)

Who said laundries are supposed to be boring! I got a bit carried away with the black paint over the weekend, and today we got a whole lot of red storage boxes to hide I mean store stuff in, (couldn't find pink!), led to the red butterflies this afternoon...

The other night I had Mike make this ladder shelf (can you see that the shelves get bigger from the top down?). It looks a bit "Your Home Mag" at the moment while I decide what should go on it...we didn't need the storage, I just wanted something to fill the gap!

Still a few things not finished, the girls' room is hard because Eden's always asleep in there when I've got painting time...like now!

Still got the window frames and bottom of the house to paint, as well as the garage to plan, as well as deciding if Mike's idea for a deck is worth the hassle (got any thoughts?)...might get round to a renovations blog one day...

Telecom Art Awards

I entered a painting of one of Lachie's drawings (HB section if you don't know) during his "Magpies" phase - I keep ALL his drawings, and Lily's, even the little scribbles - it's so much fun to see one of my T.Col projects happening right in front of me! (it was on children's art development, so fascinating!!!)

Anyway, have a look and don't forget to vote for the one you could enjoy looking at for a whole year!

Summer's Here!

Pretty sure this is the beginning of summer after today...the kids started the day swimming with Dad who's on nights this week while I stayed home (until they were ready to get dressed), then to kindy and music... Then this afternoon a bit of slip'n sliding...

and a warm spot for a bit of a restLook again, that's the new house colour...just the bottom and window frames to go.

Cooling Off

After so much shopping, we went to Cornwall Park on the way home...

And if anyone's interested, Lily discovered the paddling pool's now filled up...

Eden just watched from the safety of a swing...and luckily we'd been shopping, Lily had dry clothes to change into!

Bubbles

Still bubbles everywhere, and no-on'es getting dizzy from blowing so many! Eden and I having fun while Lily's at her friends and Lachie's at kindy...

The Doll

Here's a closer look at the doll that Mum made Eden, it's like one she had when she was a little girl - took her a while apparently...

Pretty clever, ay? And incredibly detailed (Lily loves that each doll is wearing earrings!) She's probably not taking orders! (But try your luck!)

Lollypops

Mike had a great idea (yes, really!) Lollypops Playland in Palmy for the afternoon...it was also his idea for me to go shopping while they played! (- I'll try anything to beat this nasty bug...)

Kids had great fun though, almost 3 hours worth!

We'll do that again!

Cutie Piggy

We got to see Aunty Margie and Biddy on their way to Auckland for dancing, and got to see the finished dress...here's the photo Aunty sent me after the Nationals.

I was going to put this on the cake, then I decided it didn't fit properly...when Eden got this lion she loved it straight away, it usually hangs in the car and it may be her favourite (I'll ask her one day!)

One Year...

Here's the frame from God Father Uncle Danny...all finished! It has the same photos as Eden's birthday invitation and the slideshow at the top of the blog.

Lachie chose a CD player for Eden (that HE really liked!)

I bought her a glow-a-lot CareBear

I also found a battery operated bubble machine (I've been wanting one for ages!)

So many presents to get through...!
Nannie made a double doll (really hard to explain, I'll have to take more photos)
Then Lachie and Lily went to kindy for the day. Eden tried out the icing for her cake, looks all good here!
