Not really walking...more like running, dancing, laughing, singing all the way home!

The girls having fun with their friends...
"Bush walking"Eden running down so fast - straight into my legs to stop!

What exactly is a blokes weekend? Well, first you have to get rid of the girls, easy as Lily and I went to Palmy for the night and Eden tried twisting Nannie and Grand-da round her little finger on her own; then you eat absolutely NO vegetables (unless you count onion in a chicken sandwich, baked beans are technically veges and potato chips!)...

Mike got the camera for the weekend, it was almost as hard for me to leave it behind than leaving two kids!
Building in the new shed is a MUST (after a good game of rugby that is) - here building the kids a workbench - even before Mike's (and mine!) is made...Bit of loud rock'n'roll (if you can't tell, here's the guitar and stand Lachie made on his new bench)
I got a text about the "mans" dinner but I wasn't allowed to know what that was - I guessed the beer though!
I'm also learning you must do something grubby - a bike ride in the rain will cover that!
And a sleep-out in the tent, they were warm apparently (not having to keep us girls warm helped I bet!)
And the normal ritual when Mum's not around at breakfast time - eggs!
ADULTS ONLY: Here's part of the "plan" that Mike and Lachie made on Saturday morning...now the eggs is definitely something they did and took photos to prove it, but the other thing Lachie wrote????

Eden and I caught up with all of her "boyfriends" today (all the babies born around the same time as her were boys). They've all grown up so much, and there's definitely a difference between boys and girls!
This afternoon Eden got to help peel the carrots without our other 'helpers'...
Her "I'll drop something on the floor and it will magically appear back on the bench again" game...
Then a walk to kindy the loooong way round (kindy goes for an extra half and hour these days), including a stop at the swings...
Walked back with Lily, who HAD to stop at the fairy-stools (something like toadstools?) for a dance
And Eden discovered some mud when we got home - funny how she didn't get her bare feet as dirty as she got her shoes, socks and jeans!

Here's Lily's fairy sleeping bag (usually called her princess bean bag!), one little touch still needed and a chance to try it out on Saturday! Not looking too tired here!
Just what's needed after a tough day!

Making a chocolate cake for some friends yesterday...
And "helping" me ice a wedding cake today...yes, that's cornflour everywhere!
Had many goes at dusting off her hands!

This cake I'm doing is a plain one (but the biggest bottom tier that I've ever tried to carry!) so I made Lily a little rose for the cake she made for her imaginary friends.

Here's probably our last monach butterfly of the season, last night I popped it in the letterbox to protect of from the cold wind (not sure if that's necessary, but I fet good about it!). Wings had nearly dried out after we got home from our walk to rugby
And friends for dinner, including baby Stirling - Lily couldn't wait to have a cuddle and she finally got her wish!

...for me to get her pj's after the bath. Went something like this.
Hasn't noticed me yet...
"Hey, you'e got the camera"...
Clap, clap, clap - "I'm such a show-off"...
"Yay! Thank you, thank you very much"
Or something like that...maybe?

At least she's getting easier to understand! She doesn't use sign language now unless we can't figure out what she wants (which is usually either a drink - drags us to the fridge and opens the freezer, or something to eat - drags us to the pantry and bangs on it) - she's even made up her own signs, we're slowly figuring them out!
