Our 18 month old!

Cooper's possibly a bit unwell, but he eats as much as Lachie for breakfast, and has big dinners...if it's tomato based! Tonight was fettuccine bolognaise so everyone ate quickly - ready for ice cream (actually the new strawberry yoghurt ice cream, yummy!)...
"please more"
Followed by the baking Eden and I did today (Monday, baking day), we only made muesli bars (and dinner for tonight and tomorrow night) and after sharing Grand-da's cake with him last night, we didn't really need to have cake today. Muesli bar cake it was!
With lots of singing!

And a bit of posing!
And Nick's cake from the weekend...sorry about the teasing!
The brief was a retro 70's theme with the Karate Kid and jungle animals...
Lachie, after helping me untangle 6 sets of Christmas lights!!!

Cooper's loving the Christmas tree...has been repeating his first big sentence "turn the lights on" (then off, then on, then off...)

Underwater Shots

Mike's been too scared to let us try out the new camera underwater...today Lachie and I "ganged" up on him and he had no choice!

Cool fun! And all the kids had a turn at taking photos (underwater's not my best side though!!)

Now, where's the closest coral reef!!!

And thanks again www.no8.co.nz !!!

New camera trials

Lachie and I spent a bit of time getting to know the settings we've never had before on a camera...Mike wouldn't let him take the camera swimming though...he doesn't believe in the waterproofness!!!
Lily has literally just got out of bed when we found this setting! Pinhole...
Not sure when you'd use this one, except for making funny faces; there's a short fat option too!

Fun fun fun toy!

Waipuk Show Day

aka "dancing at the show day"!
All ready to go...practiced all morning!Lily with the big girls doing a reel, that's Lily's back in the front of the photo - I love how she's ended up between the two bigger girls making an arch in this shot!
Ready for her first Highland Fling (I videoed most of her dances, but haven't figured out how to download the videos off the camera yet...sorry Nath! Will get there ♥)
Mid fling - love how the tongue helps with concentration!
Few stage performances later and the girls dancing for the first time got medals - now she's really hooked!!!
Super proud! (Crocs protecting her brand new highland shoes from Scotland - in case you're wondering! And if anyone's in the industry...it's impossible to buy white knee high socks for tiny feet, probably not much of a market though - yay for Nannie's overlocker!)
Pony rides...
Waiting for it..."can we please have a pony"...I'm sure it's coming...again!Lachie got all the cuddles...this bunny and a really fluffy cat

This has got to be the best fundraiser I've ever seen...a few instructions for Lachie

Scoop the drink - he was really quick, we watched the bigger kid before him and he took ages (maybe he just wanted a longer turn!)
Looking very expert there Lachie...just like your Mum!!!
Then off for a spin round the racetrack while Mum turned the cola drink into a cold can of lemonade!...it was more like a Sunday drive though, the flames are just for show!
Dropped Lachie of at the pools for a party then off to "dancing at the show" round 2...Eden's turn this time! Here doing 16 pas de basquesJulie giving her a medal too - Eden's only been going to highland to watch Lily but has picked up the moves quite well. Julie's never had a just 4 year old learning before! She's been saying all afternoon how she feels really special ☺ Daddy then went to work so we went back to the pools for a swim until the party had finished...summer's definitely arrived here today!
Happy birthday Lukas!
