After I'd painted Shrek's face, the kids had a go on Daddy!

(For once) I didn't take the best photos of our trip to the rugby...a photographer for HBToday spotted the kids and wanted a shot for Monday's paper.
A HBRU lady also took a shot for their website (but can't find it yet)...

Shame about the last 5 minutes - wish we'd gone to South Africa!

Lily made pizzas at kindy on Friday and brought hers home to share with us for dinner - it was about the size of her hand, so it didn't go too far...so, all dressed in stripes (there's a reason for that!) all the kids made pizzas for lunch.

I rang Mike and asked for a bit (described exact size) of shredded paper to fill space in a box I needed to post...he brought home a wee bit more...and then proceeded to get it all out on the nice clean lounge floor and play in the "nest"!

Lily's found a little spot she likes to take over in the lounge; only thing is, Honey found the same spot the other night and has also layed a claim to it - they just haven't had to share til now!
So Lily read koala and Honey a book...
Doens't Honey look thrilled!
Eden HAD to join in too, she tried to sleep though!
Not too sure about this much Honey-love!
Been helping organise another art auction this week - this time for Kindy (mostly kids artworks) on Friday 19th September.

Not the best looking cake ever, but it covered all of the requests...half a circle, lots of chocolate, Lachie and a star - and it is really tasty! Lachie only had a small piece for lunch, so was really been hanging out for more by the time it was dessert time!
Let loose with a knife...Couple of keen little sisters looking on, waiting to be served...

All the baby stuff is now packed away in boxes, including the cot. Eden loves being a big girl, and we love that she can get in and out of bed when she likes now! Lily's really keen for a bunk bed (like Lachie's) but as she sometimes gets up and walks around (even talks and laughs!) before she wakes up properly, it's probably safer to wait a while yet. So in the meantime, we've been busy making them a bed to share. It works really well, they're close to each other (great for when they go to bed and wake up early - someone right there to play with!) and they're both so little that it would be a real waste of space to have two big beds in their room - so more space to play!
The princesses enjoying their new carriage...

Lily picked vanilla cupcakes for her half birthday. So we made a night of it with Bee Movie...
Eden was singing as soon as she saw the candle but stopped when Lachie started, she then started again after I stopped recording! Roll on the next birthday!
No rugby on the weekend for Lachie as the grounds are closed. He's most disappointed as his favourite purchase in Sydney (other than the sccoter?) were his first rugby boots - he'll probably wear them anyway!

Having fun in Hastings early in the week (needed groceries EVERYWHERE - put it off as long as we could!)
The first bridge on the way to out school (all the schools in the district closed early to give parents a chance to pick kids up). If the rain had have kept up all night, Lachie wouldn't have made it out on Thursday. Mike checked the bridge early in the morning when he finished work, but the rain was slowing by then...
Here's Eden in my favourite market stall purchase from Sydney - a "ethical" top from Mighty Eve (they're supposed to have a website, but I couldn't get it to work) from the Kirribilli Markets

Eden's been super happy to see us!
She doesn't seem too hard done by, and absolutely loves helping put washing away - must have been taught that by Nannie!
I'm not sure what she was thinking we were up to, but she looked very surprised seeing the photos on the computer!
