Christmas Day 2010

The kids REALLY believed there was a pony asleep standing up in front of the Christmas tree for THREE HOURS until it was present time (three hours from their wake up time from 5.30am, that had been there all night!) But really it was....
....Lachie's new gear bike! Although, Lily DID try and tell us pony's can't be quiet or still for that long! And they were going to leave it happily asleep except Cooper knocked the cover off the front corner!
Cooper LOVES this part, he didn't sit so still while we read about the real Christmas Story, and sometimes the celotape wouldn't co-operate with him!
Right Lachie, I think Santa's trying to tell you something!
Santa also has great taste in jewellery This one's been taking up quite a bit of space in our wardrobe for a while, so Eden was very anxious to open it up...exciting! (A candy floss machine!)
Tutu cute Eden!
Cooper's happy with his stash of little things (to which he already knows the names, and the difference between a bulldozer and a front loader!)
Off for a walk/bike/run/sleep!
Lunch!
Eden bought Lily some eye shadow and she HAD to try it out on anyone sitting still...hmmmm, not really my colour darling! (And luckily Mum and Dad gave me some fancy make-up remover wipes...just in time!) Excuse the head-cold/chest infestion look of me :(
Cooper with the cool little car that Lachie bought for him
Lachie's been changing his mind between wanting a gear bike and a motorbike for months...not that it was ever HIS choice! He did get to try out Jons though...for one day!
Getting the band started!Something's funny!
And lastly a shot of the finished Christmas cake the kids did...
So much more to say, but will leave you with this (if you haven't seen it via e-mail)...it's a scanned version of one of the Christmas cards we made. The kids did all the cutting and pasting (and spelling!) and chose their own poses for the photos! (since this is scanned you can't tell that it's actually 3d with the presents sticking out from the photo)

Hope you all had a great Christmas, I look forward to hearing all about it! Enjoy the last week of 2010 - we've got heaps planned!
