Party Time!

Had such a fun time at Lily's party (we waited til she'd been at school a few days as last weekend was all about SCHOOL, not so much the birthday!).

The weather was perfect, the guests were perfect, even the cakes were pretty cool (and SO much fun, hence 3 of them!)

Lily was pretty impressed, spent a lot of the morning looking at them (also wondering how long til people arrive!)

2 real Barbie's arrived from Hamilton, and one very "vintage" Barbie!

Eden dressed up as a princess butterfly (and has her 4th birthday party ALL planned!)

As did the tradition of "chase yourself a lollypop" - Mike ran a bit faster this time!Pin the jewels on Barbie (painted by the kids in the holidays with 'make-up' by Lily!) resulted in this...
One of Lily's friends has a cute tiny baby sister...Eden really wanted a cuddle (as ours is so much bigger and heavier now!)

Grandmalana and Grandad Tom had very special visitors for the weekend so couldn't come to the party, so Lily took them and their visitors a whole cake and some cupcakes (albeit the smallest cake!)

So much fun! Can we do it all again next week? ................. Oh wait, YES WE CAN!

And I have the exciting challenge of designing a birthday cake cool enough for a seven year old boy, with NO artificial food colourings! I'm up for any challenge though!

(Will post the practise cupcakes I made for a bride and her bridesmaid...so I get to do a wedding cake and cupcakes for the weekend after next! Life's so exciting!) - um that is, will post PICTURES on blog, not actual cupcakes to you ALL, sorry!!!
