Lily wanted to try out her new school bag...which Lachie ended up carrying around most of the way - he was happy to of course, it was full of morning tea and scroggin!

And we made a couple of friends...this kereru followed up all round (after we started bird calls - and no, there was no-one else in the bush!)
And three (here's one) fantails got close at times too
Plus there was a tui that was too hard to photograph. Great walk/skip/run/dance...
