Great birthday. Heaps of facebook messages, texts, e-mails and phone calls and kids' cards(thanks!) and Mike learned (again..will he EVER actually learn???) that if you don't buy your wife a present, you have to take her shopping; and if she holds up two things and says "which do you think?" the correct answer is BOTH!
And don't give him any credit for the cake either! It's a "magic" one (magically appears...out of the freezer!) The kids' decorated it with the last flowers from Kate and Jono's wedding!
And to finish off the day we had school interviews (of course both kids are loved by their teachers, and doing really well in their classes!) followed by a fancy dinner out, wait hold on, NO MIKE DIDN'T DO THAT EITHER! I made pizza with the kids before Mum and Dad came round with actual presents in wrapping paper with ribbons and all...one day Mike, one day I'll get such a shock...!!!
