Playcentre Christmas Party

Dinner time...
Lachie, having dinner with ONE of his Jessica girlfriends (apparently there's two!)
Ok, so the Santa photo was just NOT happening!
Except Santa had two real fans...Lily and Denby...greasers - they both know who's coming to visit next weekend!

A few "out-takes" from our wee Christmas card shoot - amazing dialogue going on (shame you all can't hear it!). Anyway, when the card arrives, hopefully it'll all make sense!
And the pre-Chrsitmas treat made by Nannie...

Sun's Back Again

The sun had a wee holiday, but was well and truly back yesterday! Cooper and I took Honey for a walk at the river; and such a cool fluke, a digger (loader, but they're all called digger when you're 1!) was loading a truck. We took Honey for two walks and two trips to the river yesterday as this weeks' been hectic and she hadn't had many decent runs. Then we took all the kids (including Ben and Jack) back to the great spot after school and kindy.

Cooper's favourite, throwing!
I spent the night icing and decorating the cake Jo made for the kindy Christmas raffle...trying out my new "toys, I means "tools"
Had to show a flash one too so you can see all the sparkles!
And Cooper today, after such a big week! (I was bored waiting for him to wake up so we could take the car into the garage and walk up to kindy)

Kindy Party

Cooper asking for a smell of one of his favourites...tomato paste
Lily arrived home on Monday lunchtime to presents from Aunty Lindsay (thanks, letter coming too!), and was especially excited as there was one for under the tree and one for now! She tried it on, then went off for her sleep (as did Lachie and Eden), so Cooper just had to copy her!
He then insisted Honey try it on too! I wasn't going to put this one since I hastle Mike for his Honey dress-up photos, but after the kids' reaction earlier, I imagine there are a few more poeple ROFL right now!
THANK YOU AUNTY LINDSAY, LOVE FROM LILY
This is before the kindy dress-up Christmas party. The thermal is becasue it was freezing here!
Everyone ready to go...
Eden, aka Santa's Little Helper, with some friends Anna and Harriet, singing "glad I'm not a reindeer that has to pull the sleigh"
This might look like a Cooper pose before the concert, but LOOK at his feet! He's not too good at walking in Lily's heels, but that wont stop him trying!

Dance Recital

Lily and Eden's dancing teacher decided to hold their annual dance recital at the Hastings Opera House this year. The girls were very lucky to dance on such an amazing stage!
Hair done, ready for make-up All the little Highland girls
My highland girls
Walking off after their fling, the second dance of the show
Eden changed into her tutu side stage as the fourth dance was the pre-school ballet. Only three littlies made it to the recital, and did such a cute performance
Then Lily had her modern dance (but the photos weren't that flash). I had 5 out of the first 6 dances! Things got a bit less hectic after that!
Ready for their pas de basques and high cuts
Mid pas de basque
Mid high cut - Lily and Eden back middle (even though they all started in a straight line!)
Walking off stage
Now the 5 year olds ready for their ballet
A smile from Lily
A few pirouettes
After the intermission, ready for the reel...
Spot the two little ones!
Then a side stage change and the 5 year olds helped the pre-schoolers with their Bob the Builder dance...Lily in middle, Eden on right in purple
From what I've heard, this was the dance of the night! Imagine highland feet and poi hands...sounds difficult and looked amazing! Truly amazing girls! I hope they get a chance to do that one in Scotland!! Here's Lily and co getting their applause...
And the little girls back in the tutus, taking it all in - it was Ana's first recital. Eden loves the finale! Maybe it's the Abba song!
A couple of audience members on the bus heading home...big thanks to Simon and Donna Keir from Plumbing Place who sponsored the bus. Mum appreciated not driving and Lachie thought it was very exciting!
One tired little ballerina!
