Eventful Friday

Someone was going to do it one day...happened to be Lily. She slammed her fingers in the car sliding door, good. Well bad actually! Luckily they weren't broken, but took a trip to the doctor the following day to find that out after an "inconclusive" trip to the nurse that afternoon. She didn't feel like going to school after the doctors (was only fine with Pamol and ibuprofen, real pain otherwise) so we did all the baking for the school's weekend fundraiser, made the last two of six cakes for the weekend and made and iced this one for Julie, the dancing teacher. It is a wonder she still managed to go to dancing and did her best ever and got the trophy! (I wonder if the cake helped!)

The kindy Move-a-thon that night. First a picnic dinner - thanks to Lachie for the yummy pies he made while we were at dancing!

Eden decorated her bike and helmet at kindy during the day...new helmet needed anyway!

Ready to go! Lachie had planned to ripstik but the grass was too long. He didn't really need to wear his helmet to push Cooper round the course! Lily did ok at scootering, one hand and two fingers!

That point...

Lachie's was the box of tissues.

Lily's was nailpolish (and thankfully her toenails!).

Eden's was felt pens and the (regularly sanded) coffee table.

Here's Cooper's!

You know, that point where you realise a quiet kid needs to be checked!!!

We were all watching a youtube clip of the flashmob doing Riverdance at Sydney Grand Central (3 times) when Cooper went off and found (middle of the bench, still in the supermarket bag with the groceries!) the chocolate we had bought on the way home, for Aunty Margie's cake.

Check out that proud face!

Enough said!!!

Picasso?

Only really needs one word to describe this whole post...PLAYCENTRE!

Outfit number 1 (changed as this was too messy to have morning tea in, and thought the painting was all finished!) Round 2... Painting paper - check. Painting hands - check. Painting clothes - check. Painting anything else - check! Good idea Mum, give the kid a bucket of warm soapy water and a few rags! (Just stand back!) Whoops, bit slippery!
Washing more dirty stuff...
Molly joining in too
Molly wanted a turn with the hose...when Cooepr went to give it to her (good sharing!) the water hit her tummy sending her running!
"Dim-click" probably doesn't make sense if you haven't heard Cooper's word for drink...

FUN!

No more bumps!

Note: this is before...walking to kindy to see if physio on my ankle was actually working...

After five years of council submissions by me, our footpath is finally getting fixed! It's apparently been a war between Transit who own/maintain the road but don't do footpaths (except for this "goodwill" gesture they made when the highway was first built), and the local council who didn't put the footpath there in the first place so don't have to maintain it...who cares, now it's getting done! And Cooper will be the first of my kids to not get his training wheels stuck (assuming he even gets training wheels, he thinks he can ride a big bike already!)

"This Star Shines For Christchurch"

Eden's quote after the 22nd Feb Christchurch earthquake. She wanted it painted on her face for kindy's red and black fundraiser day Oh, and happy birthday me! And thanks Mike...first birthday present in 10 years, and it was early, and it was something I wanted! Now if he'd sent me FIVE iPads then I'd actually be allowed to play with the one he sent me! Hehehe

Go Kidz Triathlon #2

Smiling at the end of the run...on to the bike - favourite and fastest part

Breathing again, apparently the pool was so cold you couldn't breathe! Straight to the finish line...go Lachie!

Zara came 2nd in the 7-10 girls...Lachie had aimed to beat her! One day...

Lily took a picture over to Zara at Grandma-Alana's and rushed back saying Lachie and Zara were cuddling on the couch and she wanted to take a photo...this isn't exactly what she described (concocted in her head!!)

Denby Fairy

Eden got so excited about going to Denby's fairy party! Any excuse to dress up!
The beautiful birthday girl!
The only photo I got of one of her gifts from Eden - "Denby" would be as hard as "Eden" to find personalised things!
Cooper loved the raspberry fizzy and cake!
Such a fun morning! Followed by Eden's before school check and imms...oh no, still 7 months to go and she's been given the all clear to go to school! Going to be such a long year!

Go Kidz Tri #1

At the start line...
End of the bike - Lachie loves how fast his transitions are!
After the swim, sprint to the finish line...
Followed by the Mayoral Cycle Challenge with Zara and Livvy
And such a nice surprise - winning the draw for the $100 Sportsworld voucher! Worth missing the first hour of Bradley's party for! (Not to worry, he caught the last 4 hours of the party!)

School Triathlon

Cooper got to have lunch with the big boys Lily starting her run - the tounge out helps!

Bike...hard work with such tiny wheels (and legs to match!)

Almost at the swim

Yay - 3rd place! (Out of 4 hehe)

Love how this photo makes it look like Lachie's in the lead!

Biking through the dandelions
And Eden about to start her duathlon...to get Lily's bike to the car! The Principal forgot to have a pre-schoolers race, Eden was very excited about it too!
Home for the afternoon to play while I decorated this cake...before highland class.

I reckon if shoe shops looked like this, then I'd be more inclined to buy shoes!
