Sorry...

...to the aunties, uncles and cousins (especially Xavier!) that couldn't make it down for the Magpies vs Mooloos game - or was it that you didn't want to be part of the third loss in a row to HB in Napier??
Here are the kids before we left...
Actually chose her own facepaint!
Lachie with his new trackies from Nannie (his present while in hospital!)
Hope you can see his face paint!
Lily making a fashion statement in spots for a change... All ready to go...
As we drove into Napier, Lily started asking if she could "go crazy" yet...she did as soon as we got out of the car!
She's actually looking at a group of 8-9 year old boys behind us - her "audience"
And catching up with Nannie and Grand-da (and Grand-da's new jacket - minus the beak and eyes!) and Eddie and Gill after the game...just beofre heading out for ice cream sundaes to celebrate the win.

Art Auction

I bought another great piece of art at the kindy art auction (still enjoying the Jules Clarke painting I bought earlier in the year!). This time it was a Lily Simmons original - called something like "Going to the forest for a teddy bears picnic"

Thankfully it didn't cost me as much as the last auction...this was a bargain at $20!

I believe she's taking orders at the moment...

Lachie's Turn

Today was Lachie's turn to get grommets...here's a very anxious Lachie in the gorgeous gown before going to theatre... And a super brave and a bit sore Lachie afterwards.
Now he's supposed to be taking it easy - but do you think I can get him to do that? NO!

Coolest Tree...and Kids Too!

Found this cool tree - definitely needed photos with kids up in it! I love how they're such posers!
Some great action shots of Lachie! And a couple of princesses...
And we finished off with a "bear hunt"
And...if you have nothing to do on Friday night, kindy's having an Art Auction, check out some of the items on: www.hunterparkkindergarten.blogspot.com
Also, great photo of the teachers and article about kindy in the CHB Mail this morning!

Lily Ballerina

You just can't argue with a three and a half year old that knows what she wants to wear...and since there's been no dancing this term, it's usually dancing clothes! This is before Music...

Big Helper...

Lachie learning how to make concrete..."just a little bit more water"
Very productive weekend.

Frolicking Through the Daffodils

We went on a kindy trip to pick daffodils to make Eden feel better - worked momentarily!

Lily was a big help, carrying Eden's bucket for her (and picking most of the flowers for her!)

Eden with her bunch...

Lily with hers...

Eden liked putting hers in a vase when we got home

Trumpet Blowing

After being sick for what feels like ages and still not being 100% yet (one meaning of the trumpet blowing comment!), I've actually had a great start to the week...
Here are the flowers I made for the top of a 60th Wedding Anniversary cake for this weekend (a posy for the top and some little daisies to go around the bottom - I'm being sent a photo of the finished cake)And two of my kids and my husband will be on the Pope's coffee table! Explaination: I uploaded some of my Sydney photos to a website, they then chose around 100 to make into a book for the Pope - I got 3 in (I think that was the max from each person) - pretty cool really! Now all we need is an invite for afternoon tea with him...
not sure if this works if you don't log in (someone will tell me!) but here's the link I used...

An Icy Fathers Day

Not sure if Mike liked Fathers Day as much as Grand-da - we went to a party on Saturday night so the kids stayed at Nannie and Grand-da's - I was off the hook for cooking breakfast! And it was Nannie that had to put the hundred layers on the kids so we could go on our adventure!
*
Showing the kids how much further...
Just look at that face!
Mike took great delight in taking many photos of me upside down!
Turns out I was the toboggan more often than not...
At least it was Daddy getting "attacked"!
Tasty? I think she understands the "don't eat yellow snow" rule from Happy Feet!
Lily's version of mountain climbing
Only these two would choose the dirty snow to play in!
Great Fathers Day!
On the way down the mountain we did (some of) the bush walk...this is when my camera batteries died :(

Weeknight Rugby

At least there was Friday to recover! We're getting recognised now too!
And Hawkes Bay's now second equal on the NPC table - two more home games left until the semi's...

Fathers' Night

A few shots Mike took at Fathers' Night at Kindy (Lachie rang and asked the teachers if he could come too - didn't want to miss the chance to go and play at Kindy! Eden and I had a great time at home alone)

Eden Having Fun

I've been pretty sick, just starting to get better and needed to get a few things at the shops...Eden might be getting it too, but she was very happy at the park!
